Summer in Red

Princess Polly Dress, Supre Berret, Famous Footwear Shoes, Sportsgirl Bag

Long time, no post! Today I am wearing this pretty little red dress from Princess Polly and I don't think there's ever been a dress that is more me. I love the frills, the off the shoulder details and the colour - I've always been a sucker for red dresses! I can see myself wearing this dress all summer long.

Besides enjoying my freedom from uni by laying around on the Gold Coast beaches these past two weeks, I have not been up to much at all! I finally feel in holiday mode and I get to graduate this week finally, which is so exciting! I am still in shock that I have made it to this day but can't wait to start work and lead a much more balanced life of only working 40 hour weeks (instead of 60 hour weeks with assignments on top as I have been doing the past year!) Next week I am then heading off to Bali for a much needed holiday and I'm hoping I'll be able to get a post up on this blog to document my time there.

Hopefully, actually having free weekends again next year will mean I have much more time to focus on this blog which I am really looking forward to. Expressing myself creatively has always been important to me and I know my mental and emotional health suffers when I deprive myself of time to be creative. So next year focusing on this blog and developing myself creatively is going to be a big focus of mine. There are quite a few things I've been wanting to try and experiment with on my blog and I have a feeling next year is going to be my most creative and productive year yet. So keep your eye on this space, I'm hoping to make some big changes and a whole lot of progress here in the new year.

Guess what guys, I have finally finished my degree! Yes, those six torturous years of university have finally come to an end and it is so surreal. So to celebrate I thought I'd get back into my blogging! It's been way too long since my last post so here's a little summer themed outfit from Supre to get us in the summer and celebratory mood.

First of all, I'm obsessed with this crochet cropped top. It's so comfortable and so summery and I can see myself wearing it all summer long. This skirt is such a fun and bold colour and I'm loving it too. I can't wait to wear it to the beach soon paired with my white one piece from my previous post (now that I have all the time in the world!)

Casual Sunday in this Cosy Linen Playsuit

Happy weekend guys! I've had a very busy week this week and the next few weeks for me are not going to be any easier as my final ever exams inch closer every day. I have so much study to do, so my next few posts will be short and sweet! But I can't wait to be done with uni soon and hopefully have the time to put more effort into this blog. 

Anyway, I was sent this cute linen jumpsuit from Supre the other week, and honestly, when I first unwrapped this playsuit from the parcel, I didn't like it. I was actually not planning on turning this outfit into a blog post. But after styling it with these boots and a cute beret, I'm actually really loving this outfit. Plus the relaxed fit is super comfy and perfect when you've just eaten a buffet lunch!

What Winter? | Daisy Dresses & Shearling Jackets

Just a quick little outfit of the day post today to say hi! Firstly can I say where the heck has winter disappeared to? I wore this cute daisy dress from Dissh Boutiques yesterday while exploring New Farm in Brisbane on an unusually warm Winter's day. And here I was all geared up for the so-called coldest winter of the century.

Anyway, I love the pattern and the colour, and feel like it's perfect layered with a shearling coat to give just a little bit of warmth.  It was such a fun day, but now I am back into the uni work. I am currently on my last ever week of 'holidays' before I become a vet! It's so surreal! And while I'm a little scared (or actually a lot), I'm also super excited. But first another 3 assignments, 4 exams and 12 weeks of placement to battle through. 

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and little life update. I really want to write some more in-depth posts soon. I was thinking about my journey through vet school, or my university experience in general, and how I've been juggling uni with my blog this whole time. I think it would be a great way for me to reflect on these last few years of my life that are quickly coming to an end, and so that you guys can get to know me a little better. Little Black Dress on the Prairie

Just a quick little outfit post today wearing this gorgeous dress little black dress from Dissh Boutiques that gives me major prairie girl vibes. I love the lightweight fabric and pretty embroidery, the trimmings and the capped sleeves on this dress - just the perfect dress for a lazy Sunday afternoon picnic. Paired with these horse riding boots (that I usually wear for equine practicals), I feel like this outfit is the perfect combination of pretty and proper, yet a little grungy and alternative. I'm obsessed with it and can't wait to wear it on a day out sometime soon.

Currently I am in Thailand on a placement desexing and vaccinating homeless dogs. It's a very rewarding yet exhausting placement, and I can't wait to make a travel diary post all about it here very soon. Keep an eye out for it!

The Perfect Wrap Dress

Hope you guys all had a lovely long weekend! Today I have this pretty floral wrap dress from Dissh boutiques for you guys! I've loved wrap dresses since the trend began but have struggled to find the perfect one to fit my small frame and lack of bust. FINALLY however I have found my perfect wrap dress. I'm actually obsessed with the colour green at the moment in dresses, so naturally once I tried this dress on and found it not only fit perfectly but I loved the colour and print, I couldn't leave it in the shop! I can't wait to wear it to a wedding or a party! It gives me serious spring vibes (even though it's completely the opposite of spring here in Australia!) Anyway, I'm off now to work on my never ending uni assignments.

Last Days of Summer

The fact that summer is coming to an end here in the southern hemisphere has me stocking up on fake tan supplies and pretty bikinis like a crazy woman. Unlike a lot of my friends, I spent the summer months locked up in veterinary clinics as I started my final year rotations and as a consequence, I feel like I kind of missed summer all together this year. As I'm currently on holidays for the first time since the middle of last year, I am refusing to let go of the sun just yet and am posting these photos of me in this cute Topshop swimsuit in protest.

I spotted this swimsuit on Sam from @samanthamariaofficial and was instantly in love, so of course, I had to purchase it. I'm obsessed with the cute ruffles of the straps, the low back and the pretty vintage floral pattern. It was just screaming my name! Anyway, I hope you are all well and enjoy this post! Yay, my first outfit post of the year! And it's in this stunning maxi dress available form Universal store. I love summer and being able to wear maxi dresses. They're so effortless yet so stylish! In particular I love the twist detail of the bodice in this one and with the short sleeves it gives me major vintage vibes like the kind of dress my Mum used to wear to be stylish back in the day and that only makes me more obsessed with this style!

NYE in this Black Lace Playsuit

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you guys are all looking forward to a big night of celebrations tonight. I just thought I'd share one of my outfit options for tonight which is this gorgeous black lace playsuit from Universal store. I'll just be heading out for dinner and a few drinks and then finding a spot on the beach to watch the midnight fireworks. Nothing too hectic, just a nice relaxed night considering I need to prepare to head back to uni tomorrow after my little break. 

It's been a good year for my blog - I've posted consistently this year and it has slowly but steadily grown! So thank you to those of you who support my blog and read all my posts - it means a lot! I've got a lot of content planned for the new year and some goals I'd like to share with you all once I've finished writing them out, so look out for those in the new year.

Summer Evenings in my Little Orange Polka Dot Dress

This time of year is my favourite. Not only for the festivities that take place but also the warm, pleasant evenings and amazing sunsets at the end of the day. It's so nice to go for an evening beach stroll after your dinner, watching the sky turn from blue to orange and orange to purple. I also love the organisation mode I get in; reflecting on my progress over the past year and setting goals and making plans for the next year. Anyway, this will be my last post before Christmas, so I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! I'll be posting again next week, so stay tuned!

Making Lemonade

I am obsessed with lemons, I always have been. When I was little I used to get excited when I got lemon slices in a drink because I would literally eat them like an orange afterwards, I actually liked the taste! These days my obsession isn't quite so crazy. I no longer eat them like oranges but love sipping on hot water with lemon every morning, it's so refreshing! Anyway, besides loving the actual fruit I'm also obsessed with lemon prints. Which is why as soon as I saw this dress on Princess Polly I had to grab it! I'm also in love with the scoop back detail. It's the perfect summer dress!
