Little Black Dress on the Prairie

Dissh Little Black Dress, Saxon Boots, Tiffany & Co Necklace

Just a quick little outfit post today wearing this gorgeous dress little black dress from Dissh Boutiques that gives me major prairie girl vibes. I love the lightweight fabric and pretty embroidery, the trimmings and the capped sleeves on this dress - just the perfect dress for a lazy Sunday afternoon picnic. Paired with these horse riding boots (that I usually wear for equine practicals), I feel like this outfit is the perfect combination of pretty and proper, yet a little grungy and alternative. I'm obsessed with it and can't wait to wear it on a day out sometime soon.

Currently I am in Thailand on a placement desexing and vaccinating homeless dogs. It's a very rewarding yet exhausting placement, and I can't wait to make a travel diary post all about it here very soon. Keep an eye out for it!

The Perfect Wrap Dress

Dissh Dress, Sportsgirl Bag, Supre Berret, London Rebel Shoes

Hope you guys all had a lovely long weekend! Today I have this pretty floral wrap dress from Dissh boutiques for you guys! I've loved wrap dresses since the trend began but have struggled to find the perfect one to fit my small frame and lack of bust. FINALLY however I have found my perfect wrap dress. I'm actually obsessed with the colour green at the moment in dresses, so naturally once I tried this dress on and found it not only fit perfectly but I loved the colour and print, I couldn't leave it in the shop! I can't wait to wear it to a wedding or a party! It gives me serious spring vibes (even though it's completely the opposite of spring here in Australia!) Anyway, I'm off now to work on my never ending uni assignments.

Summer Lace

Hi all, I've finally popped a new post up on the blog! I'd meant to photograph this stunning top for awhile now but luckily I held off because it's currently on sale! I'm obsessed with the lace detailing. So perfect for a summer day! Especially for those of you in the northern hemisphere coming in to summer! Click the link above if you're interested. Hope you are all doing well! I apologise for the lack of posts here lately, but if you ever wonder what I'm up to head over to my instagram @anneinthedollhouse where I'm a lot more active.

I'm keeping it short and sweet tonight because I'm so tired and keen to get to sleep! Just thought I should let you guys know how in love I am with these peachy coloured culottes from Glassons at the moment. They can be dressed up or down! I feel like they'd also look really cute with a T-shirt and sneakers. I might have to try this the next time I wear them! I hope you are all having a lovely week and will hopefully be posting again soon!

Strapless Gingham

I am so glad it is finally spring. I just love the sight of flowers blooming, the daylight lasting longer and most importantly the flowy and dreamy dresses that come into stores in Spring like this strapless gingham number I'm sharing today. I can't wait to wear this, enjoying a picnic in the park or visiting some local markets, if I ever get some down time on the weekends - which seems to be non-existent at the moment thanks to endless mid-semester exams. Never fear though, mid-semester break is coming soon (at least this is what I keep telling myself as I'm cramming in my lectures on spinal surgery in dogs this weekend) and I'll definitely be getting out in the sun and hopefully documenting it over on Instastories and through my Instagram posts. (My username is @anninthedollhouse in case any of you would like to follow along!) For now though, I need to get back to study. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? | OOTD featuringPrincess Polly

Princess Polly Dress, Sportsgirl Bucket Bag, Cotton On Frilly Socks, K-mart Boots, Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Malibu
Evening lovelies,
I’m so excited that exams are over and it is finally summer here in Australia! I have so many new clothes I recently bought as an end of exam treat and I can’t wait to style them and shoot them for you guys.
These photos were taken on my little escape this week to Montville (another post exam treat courtesy of the boyfriend) and I felt this artsy and relaxed fitting dress was perfect to wear while exploring this quaint little town.
I am particularly in love with the purple embroidery of this dress paired with the baby pink fabric. So simple yet pretty! And this ofra lipstick is simply to die for, I am in love with colour! It may have cost me an arm and a leg in shipping from the U.S. but I would definitely have to say 100% worth it. I think I am due for a beauty favourites update soon!
I am so happy to finally be blogging again, chat again soon!

Hello Spring

Sabo Skirt Dress, Kmart Shoes, Thrifted Hat
The warmer days have finally hit us here in Australia! So what better way to celebrate than with this cute pastel number? This dress was another gift from my 21st a few weeks ago and I am in love with the colours!
Uni is back now but just 6 weeks until summer holidays! And until I can finally take some a few trips I’ve been dying to take as well as work on a few projects to improve this blog.  I’m just letting that be my motivation to power through the last of this semester!
Hoping your week is going well,
Kelly xx

Who’s getting excited for Splendour in the Grass! I know I was until I decided to sell my ticket, but sometimes that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Anywhoo, I’d already ordered this gorgeous playsuit to wear to Splendour before I sold my ticket, so why waste an amazing outfit!

This playsuit is super cute and cheeky and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it online! I love this mustard colour and felt it was super Splendour appropriate! What are you guys planning on wearing to splendour? I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment below!
