Like seeing stars and endless nights, for you I’ll be waiting

Popcherry dress
Hi guys, here is the second set of photos from my horsey shoot! I love how the setting sun accentuates the white lace of my dress, I definitely believe I saved the best photos for last. I hope you guys enjoyed these series of photos as much as I enjoyed spending time with these ponies!
Finally mid-semester exams are over and I can’t wait to get back into organising more blog posts! It’s become such a hobby of mine and I’ve noticed an increase in the number of comments and vistors I have to my site lately which is super rewarding, so if you’re reading this post I’d like to thank you!
And if you’re in love with these photos make sure you check out my friend’s facebook page: www.facebook.com/MHPhotography5
Have a great weekend!

Popcherry lace dress

I’m so sorry it’s been such a long time since I posted! But to make it up to you guys, here is part one of this amazing photoshoot I did in this beautiful white lace dress by Popcherry a few weeks ago!

This was such a fun shoot to do! One afternoon, my friend from uni and I decided it would be fun to dress up her ponies and trot them around in their paddock whilst taking photos in pretty dresses and I have to say these shots turned out amazing! Even better than I had planned!

I’ve seriously had a thing for lace lately, I just can’t get enough of it! I recently purchased another lace piece to wear to my 21st last weekend and will have to do a shoot in that dress too!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and as I have sooooo many photos to share look out for part two of these photos coming out sometime early next week!

Happy Friday eve,

My Little Red Shorts

For me, being back at uni means being back out in the country side. It’s now my second week back at uni and I thought I would share with you one of my outfits!
I really love how these photos turned out, with my orangey-red shorts in contrast with the light green forage of the country background. It was completely unplanned, I just wore what I had been wearing at uni all day and it simply worked!
I wear high waisted clothing everywhere (Because I’m short, high-waisted skirts and shorts tend to make me look taller) and uni is no exception. I like to invest in expensive pieces that really flatter my small figure but these shorts from Forever New fit me perfectly while only costing $4! Yep, again these shorts are part of my haul from the suitcase rummages I visited in the holidays! (Click here to see more pieces from my suitcase rummage haul!) And I would really encourage you to visit these markets, you never know what you can find there. You can check if they are visiting a city near you at their website here!
Back to my outfit, I often need to wear enclosed shoes around campus so when I spotted these black heeled ankle boots at K-mart for $25, I knew I needed them! They look very similar to these lipstik boots I’ve seen advertised on instagram but are less than half the price! How’s that for fashion on a budget?!
I hope you guys are all having a great week and if you haven’t already make sure you check out my new Etsy shop full of heaps of pretty high-waisted shorts made by me! anneinthedollhouse.etsy.com

Little Black Skirts & Silk Crepe Crops

Hello lovelies,
Hope the weekend treated you all well! Today I bring you some of my haul from the Brisbane suitcase rummages that I’ve been to over the last few weekends! I think I’ve become addicted to these markets, I love how I can find big fashion brands for a tiny price reinforcing my mantra that you can be a student on a tiny budget and still keep up with the latest trends.
Crops are everywhere right now and today I am wearing this Backstage silk crop which I bought from the markets for $4! Such a steal! I looked up a similar crop on the Backstage website and was astonished to find it $110! I also did a search on e-bay, to find you guys a cheaper option and found this one which is similar in style but a different colour.
Pleated skirts also seem to be on trend right now and this black pleated one also only cost me $4 at the rummage markets! It is by a band called Bling & Chic and I am in love! I found this one on e-bay, which is the same label with a similar style, but different colour. I also found this super cheap alternative, perfect for if you simply want a black pleated skirt!
My sunnies are from a sunglass stall at Carrara Markets on the Gold Coast, I’ve had them for ages now and love their chic and simple style!
I have a stack of new clothing to shoot that I can’t wait to show you guys because you shouldn’t have to for-go fashion, just because you’re a student! (Or on a budget)
